Last week, members of the Morphum Environmental team attended and presented at the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) Sustainability in Public Works Conference, which was held in Melbourne. The conference aimed to bring a variety of public works professionals together to address the future of sustainability in public works, with a particular focus on aspects including sustainable and green infrastructure, technological developments, three waters management, asset management, and implications to community.

Using NAMAF as a Driver for Parks and Open Space Asset Management
This paper, authored by Tze-Sian Hor of the City of Stonnington and Stuart Joyce and Dean Watts of Morphum Environmental, looked at how councils could improve their National Asset Management Assessment Framework (NAMAF) scores with respect to the sustainable management of parks, open spaces and other community assets.

Authored jointly by Barry Carter, Dean Watts and Stuart Joyce of Morphum Environmental, It Never Drains when it Pours summarises the key impacts and issues that commonly occur and are likely to arise in the future with respect to urban stormwater systems and flood management, and proposes practical solutions to mitigate and manage these issues.
